4. LEAD TIME

We make every effort to install your worktops from 7 to 10 working days from the day of templating date excluding weekends.
We like to offer our clients choice and quality and this sometimes means that materials take a while to source.
Please enquire about the current lead time for material you are interested in before placing your order, however sometimes there may be delays from the suppliers. we will keep you updated with any rescheduled deliveries. We will endeavour to fulfil our agreed commitments to all our clients, however we are unable to accept any liability from any loss whatsoever due to delay in installing.
A morning or afternoon installation can be requested as long as we can accommodate this for you. Morning is anytime between 9.00 am and 12.00 pm and afternoon is any time between 12 pm and 4 pm. This also applies for templating.

5. TEMPLATE & INSTALLATION

We offer a local and nationwide service. On the day of templating it is essential the customer or the customer’s representative is present to discuss and confirm the templates and requirements for their kitchen worktops, such as which side drainer grooves are positioned, the location of the sink, hob, tap, overhangs, height of upstands, where the joints will be, ideally worktops need removing prior to templating as this will give a more accurate template and discover any implications that may occur on installation. Present worktops will need removing before installation, we can provide this service at an additional cost but we don't undertake ANY plumbing or electrical works so these will need removing prior to us removing the old worktops. failure to do so will cause the installation to be delayed and further cost to yourselves. If we are removing old worktops and the customer wishes to keep or re use and tiles, sinks ect then we will take every possible care to prevent and damage to these but unfortunately we can’t take responsibility if anything was to be damaged.
If units are not level, secure or a support is required a note of this will be made, It will be the customers responsibility to put this matter right before the installation date.
In order to avoid problems with installation we need to be advised of parking/access conditions at the installation address for up to 5 hours.
We are unable to accept responsibility for lost working time in the unlikely event of an order being incorrect, delayed or postponed. Further charges would be incurred by the customer to compensate for this. Once the template has been done an invoice will be created on the correct measurements.
If another template visit is required due to the kitchen not ready then a further charge will
Be added. (Location dependent on charge)
Once template as been taken nothing can be moved or changed.

6. PRODUCTS

We aim to show customers representative samples of all our stones. However, please remember that stone such as granite is a natural product and is subject to variations in tone, colours and markings. What you the customer may call imperfections - these are a natural occurrence in the stone therefore you the customer must expect and accept the fore mentioned thus no claims by you the customer can be made relating to this. We recommend you visiting the granite suppliers and reserving your chosen slab. Quartz samples may slightly vary in shade & particle structure. So refer to samples only as an indication of appearance. Dimensions may vary according to the industry standard cutting tolerances. We recommend you read the advice given from both ourselves and your chosen supplier on the care and maintenance as this may result in any warranty being void. Warranties vary between suppliers you will be advised of this on the paperwork given to you on installation.

7. INSTALLATION OF WORKTOPS

In order to ensure a problem free installation please note the following points:
If any overmount sink or any tap has been re-connected following templating, they must be disconnected again prior to installation to take place.
Tiling in areas around worktops must take place after installing worktops.
In the event of any plasterwork etc being disturbed during fixing, all making good and subsequent costs are the responsibility of the client.
Please be aware that we DO NOT have the tools or skills to undertake gas, electrical, plastering or plumbing work whilst installing. we can help source a plumber if you need us to though.
Where jointing of materials is necessary it will not always be possible to secure an exact match between the jointing material and the granite or quartz, Please note that jointing lines are therefore likely to be visible, particularly on lighter coloured materials.
Transport and installation by a third party (customer or their agent ) is at the customer’s own risk and responsibility.
For health and safety and insurance reasons it is vitally important our fitters are allowed to work on their own in the installation/working area until they have finished their work.
Sealing of granite after installation is required, we offer this service at an additional charge.
Please note that our Granites are NOT sealed on installation unless you choose a granite that is pre sealed.
N.B: Whilst we take every care to minimise the disruption during installation, the process will create some dust.
We ask our clients to ensure that as practicable , doors to other parts of the house are kept closed, and to remove items of value in the installation area.

7.1 Once worktops have been installed it is essential the customer or representative is available to inspect the material and workmanship. The customer will then be asked to sign the job sheet and will be given a copy to keep. Once the form has been signed, and the customer is satisfied with the workmanship and material the customer or representative will have to sign the sign off sheet.

You will appreciate that after our installers leave your premises it is impossible for us to verify any subsequent claim for damage to the material or their surroundings.
This being the case, should no one be available to sign off the job sheet and attach any comments associated with any problems, the client must accept that we are no longer liable.
